Christmassy Cinnamon Cookies Recipe

pepparkakor - cinnamon cookies with icing

Cinnamon has always been synonymous with Christmas for me, and there’s nothing better than the smell of freshly baked pepparkakor (Scandinavian biscuits) to get me in the festive mood. When I was little, I often spent Christmas at my grandmother’s in Iceland and there would always be some cinnamon and coconut treats around the house, just in case someone dropped in to deliver presents and have a coffee.

With the festive season fast approaching, I collaborated with Wayfair to share my favourite Christmas recipe with you. These cookies are not quite as spicy as the traditional pepparkakor, but they’re just as moreish – everyone loved them at work. I also included instructions for making icing, because decorating is the fun part! If you have any little ones around this Christmas I think this would be a fun recipe to bake with them. Check out the full recipe on the Wayfair website.

What are your favourite Christmas foods? I’d love to know!

Mmm these cookies look fab, you’ve decorated them brilliantly! I agree, cinnamon = Christmas to me too! So festive and tasty – and these look great to bake and decorate with family and friends!
